I would like to know the price of
Western digital caviar Black"- 1 TB - WD1001FALS model price in india..
Everywhere i try they get the green hard drive and say no difference and i know there is a difference.

Huge difference. Green drives have 5400 RPM while Black Drives have an RPM of 10K. There is a huge difference in speed. Green drives are mainly designed for power saving

Not really 10K rpm buddy.. its only 7200 rpm. The main diff is that it has 2 storage processors to process the data.. I found its 7500 outside and bought it on ebay for Rs 6200.

Further i get double the speed of the normal drives for write and read.. data is written at 70MB/s in vista. wow.. Great!!!
