dellstudio 1555 laptop processor gonna slow without power

i have dellstudio 1555 laptop
c2d p8600 2.4Ghz
3 Gb ram
the problem is when i plugged in the power cable then my system is doing well in awesome speed but when i plug out the power cable then it goes slow ..
and hd movies are not play smoothly,also game is slow down ,it seems as of the processor is goes slow down......... but when i plugged again it doing well....


any body help me please ,thanks in advance....................

go to power option by right clicking on battery on taskbar
under high performance click 'change plan setings'
then click'advanced power setings'
*under PCIEXpress disable 'link state' for both battery more and plugged in mode
*processor state: min proccy state
on battery: 70~80%
plugged in: 100%

max proccy state
on bat: 100
plug: 100

This will change things considerably. But the GPU clocks will fall when on battery. Evenif u game on battery mode, it wont last more than 30~40 min even for a 9 cell battery if u have a powerful GPU.
