Asus a8n-e + Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4800+ Socket 939
I haf a Asus A8n-e MB with 3000+ processor. I would like to upgrade my processor to Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4800+. Could some1 here clarify some of my daubts : Is this processor support my MB Do i need to upgrade my biaos for this how much it will cost in kolkata, india Is it better to upgrade processor only or i should upgrade my MB also. |

I don't think socket 939 based processors are available in the market.
You cannot use socket am2 or am2+ or am3 processors on your board Asus A8N-E. You should change mobo,cpu and ram to upgrade. What is your full config and how much money can you spend on upgrade. I have AMD 3000+ processor which I overclocked to 2.25GHz and using HD2600XT and am able to run latest games at decent resolution.
