BenQ E2200HD is the one in my mind. You can also get the Dell S2209W but it's more like 15K.

BenQ 2200 series are not that good for pure gaming.

Dell G2410 24" FullHD 16:9 green display for 259$

BENQ looks like a good option .. But how is the service being provided after purchase .. Does BENQ technical support provide us good value for money ?

If at all the monitor dies , will they replace the old dead one ?

And if possible , How reliable is BENQ E2200 .. I mean failure rate ..

Benq is actually an overall good company- overall sales in India is a different story since initially the management didnt bother to push such a good product but it has picked up fast. I havent seen any issues I heard of which is a pretty good thing. Warranty is pretty much standard like other companies- except viewsonic which is horrible.

compare Dell's Ultrasharp model's "Premium Panel Guarantee"

Dell monitors are designed and built to our highest standards, providing the quality and reliability you expect when you see the Dell logo. Each has been exhaustively tested and comes backed by a Dell Limited Warranty3. Unyielding commitment to quality and the satisfaction of our customers has driven Dell to offer a Premium Panel Guarantee ensuring replacement of UltraSharp series monitors with zero bright pixels. Even if only one bright pixel is found, a free panel exchange is guaranteed during the limited warranty3 period, so you can rest assured your investment is protected.

And moreover, BenQ cannot match the quality (build and display) of Samsung's and Dell's. They might be selling cheaper but cheaper doesn't mean VFM all the time.

If I have to buy a display, I would rather get Dell or Samsung. I am proud owner of Dell 198WFP and I know how well this display works.

And for PS3, I would definitely go for a 24" FullHD display like the one that I mentioned earlier.

Okay- here's the thing. 90% of dell is outsourced- even level 6 techs who advice directly to Micheal Dell. Dell does not manufacture or even assemble it together. Just get a company to do a job for them and give the rights to use Dell reputation. Dell's OEMs for screens are 85% samsung- rest are LG (full form is lucky goldstar btw), sanyo and hitachi- but hitachi is mostly for s-ips panels.

I didnt say dell is bad now did I? Dell is also good, but benq is a vfm product.

Yeah gaming on a TN panel is such under- utilising graphic cards and video game devices. But unfortunatly things dont get distributed over here pretty easily as well.

VFM is Value For Money. You can get the Dell 24" 2409W (FullHD) which is available for 18K with 5-years Premium Panel Warranty.

And this strategy worked for years. Apple, Airtel, gigabyte, asus, intel and other two examples for this strategy. Outsourced doesn't mean that the product can't be termed best. Only manufacturing is outsourced and the manufacturing should be done as per Dell's procedure. Even BenQ outsources manufacturing to other companies.

how exactly can it be a VFM. for just 1k more you get Dell's and Sasmung's and moreover, the support of these two is much better and have much better resale value. VFM!!!

You really should take a look at my SE-198WFP.

And as mentioned by anubisX, is there a single product from BenQ or viewsonic and any such entry level manufacturers that can match Dell 2409W. yes. it costs 18k but it's 24" and comes with Premium Panel Warranty (3 to 5years) which means that they will replace the monitor if you find one stuck pixel with no questions asked). Now, that's called peace of mind and VFM.

I m not the answer but my question is also related to urs.
How do u get the audio out when u connect ur LCD with console?

These panels does have HDMI or even if it has DVI, u can use DVI to HDMI dongle(easily available in the market for cheap) how can someone get the audio out when it doesn't have audio out connection or internal speakers?

Thanks for the link, but i don't think u understood the problem. HDMI doesn't have composite/RCA out! So this can't be used.

you need not connect it to HDMI

Don't you have the cable taht connects to AV multi out to RCA?

with PS3, you get AV Multi out to RCA cable.

so, you need to get a RCA female to 3.5mm converter. I got one with my MX-5021.

PS3 does bundle the cable with it but what about X360?

X360 don't have this type of cable pack & one has to buy separately for PS3.
What if someone has to use monitor with X360?
