Default Plez suggest Mobo around 2000/-

I have AMD athlon 3000+ and want to buy a mobo as my old is not workin now, i have a budget of around 2000/- for de mobo and 1000/- for ram.

Please help

there is a section for AMD motherboard ,there are many board with details
from there you can choose your mobo

i checked my processor, it uses socket 939... will it be compatible with AM2? is there any 939 mobo available?

soket 939 processor is not compatible with AM2 mobo,
939 mobos are available,buy any asus one frm local market.

or the best option is to sell ur current processor for 1~1.5k so u will have a total budget of 4k add 1.5k to it then u can buy new amd dual core with 1gb ram

via chipset MSI boards for both older 939 and new Am2 comes in sub 2k cat.
A brand new Sempron Am2 costs some 1.2k and am MSI via board costs 1.6k.
2GB DDR2 667 costs 900/- for transcent/kingston or even 700 for brands like dynet. 800Mhz ones costs 1.1~1.2k for 2GB transcent.
