Why not biostar 790gxb for 4.6k or for biostar 790gx 128m+ for 5.6k? You will be using an IGP so better off grabbing a 790gx board from biostar.

Ya, go for the Biostar TA790GX+128M for 5k. It will offer u superior performance over all the 780G chip set based boards. It will also good for future upgrade.
U can overclock new AMD phenom 2 processors, can unlock the disable core of the Phenom 2 X3 processors.

It is also having 128MB of Dedicated 3300 graphics card with DirectX 10.1 support, suitable for low end gaming and HTPC.

And why not

Athlon X2 7750+ BE @3.5k
Bioster A780G @3.5K
Zotac 9500GT 512MB DDR3 @3.5K

total 10.5K just over 0.5K from his max budget.

@Revolution
At TE.
its 4075/-+ship

+1 for Gowt1ham's config.
but , if goin for a card, then a 780G mobo will suffice

PII550: 5.5k
biostart 780g: 3.8k
2*2GB: 2.5k
HD 4670 : 4.3k [shipped].

A generic 450W PSu can handle it. Both the proccy and the GPU are really power efficient.

for now, just get a cheap G31 based board. Forget about E8400. Intel is moving to Core i5 for midrange CPUs. Then get a full upgrade to DDR3+X38+core i5

Do u mean Samsung 2033? If no, then I recommend Samsung 2033. Whats ur budget for graphics card? And if u wanna buy a graphic card, then ordinary/el cheapo power supply won't work. Go for Corsair VX 450 or something like that.

who dun think bout the PII 550 these days. They made it too good for the price.
The 2k difference over 7750BE is totally justified.

Yup, E5200 is one hell of a proccy for ocing, but G31 mobo's arent that impressive apart from ocing. i think they spot a nX16 PCIE 1.1, which can underpower u gcard. Also most of them are micro ATX.
Also it oc to gr8 clocks, its performance per clock is much lower than an E8400 or PII 550, due to lower cache amount of E5200.
Also E5200 tends to heatup quickly[after ocing] with its bundled tiny heatsink. Though u can oc higher with an aftermarket cooler, it wont come for cheap.
And lastly the IGP of G31 mobo aint good for nothin. IGP of 780g/790g mobos are much better.

@sringan

a biostar 790 mobo with 128 sideport for 4.5k sounds better if u gonna use IGP.
