Default Pc Power

Hi friends,

I want to clarify my doubt about how much electricity my pc is consuming .

If i download 24 hours a day, with lcd monitor off and having 600watts power supply, intel core 2 duo e7300, graphics card, how many units (in hyderabad 1 unit costs 4 rupees) will it consume.

I tried searching many sites , but no proper answer was found.

Note: please give me simple answers like units/cost. Dont give me big explanations as i am a dummie in this field.

I hope this thread will be useful to many people out there as this doubt arises to each and everyone of us at some point of time.

THANK U IN ADVANCE.

Default Re: Pc Power

give full config of your system.
is 1 unit cost you are giving of the highest slab or what.

A good PSU like corsair VX450 with 80% efficiency will save 30% more electricyt than kachra PSU, and also a more energy efficient mobo counts in.

Anyhow calculations will require exact data.

downloading is not 100% idle, will have around 10% more electricity usage when system is total idle.
Add the power reqs of your router or modem to this to get the total cost.

my system configuration is

core 2 duo e7300
intel motherboard
320gb hdd
2gb ram
graphics card
19inch lcd monitor(its off during nights)
3 fans
600w psu

RS 4 for first 100 units, then Rs.7 /- for next 50 units and it increases like that

I think this information is enough to get a rough idea on power consumption of my pc.

Thank u
