Western Digital or PC Problem !

Hello Friends ,

After my english exams and recent hard drive faliure , i decided to buy new portable Hard drive , i opted for Western Digital My Passport 320 GB Hard disk ,
after unboxing it i connected it with my existing PSP's Mini B cable . to my surprise it didnt got detected at all it simply ignored the new device . then i thought to plug in different usb port , "FAIL" , then i tried with different USB cable , this time i used the supplied cable . the result was wierd , first of all it didnt shows up in my computer and in device manager it immidiately disconnects the drive ,

this happened with my new 5800 also , i dont know what is the problem , my existing PSP and Flash drives
