hardware problem.. need help.. urgent.. plzzz..

Hey guys, m having a desktop with AMD athlon, 512 ram, 40 gb hd.. now-a-days, whenever i start my computer, it gets automatically shut down after 5-7 mins, and the green light keeps blinking, like d way it blinks in stand by mode.. tried a lot of things.. but didn't worked.. .. Cn u help me please?? its urgent.. thanx in advance..

Hi, how old is ur system?
AMD+512RAM+40GBHDD, seems pretty old (at least 2-3yrs).

U should check the PSU first
Then RAM and then MOBO battery.

this might be due to ur power supply to bro..i think ur internal fan might be jammed!!clean it thoroughly...and even if doesnt run fine..i think u better change ur power supply once and try it!!!good luck!!chandal

And also RAM ,, did u install latest application ??? like anything ??

CMOS battery had been changed a month back.. bt yeah.. i installed GTA SAN Andreas game.. and played it for a couple of weeks.. this problem started just after that..

Hmmm, pretty old M/C. Check ur PSU. It may be the reason. And clean all internal Fans.

CMOS battery had been changed a month back.. bt yeah.. i installed GTA SAN Andreas game.. and played it for a couple of weeks.. this problem started just after that..

It looks like a RAM problem then, or maybe ur CPU overheating
