UPS Dead?? Suggest New UPS!!

My Tech-COM UPS may just have given in, I use it only to power up the monitor(CRT,17"), today whenever I turn it on it immedietly goes to Battery mode instead of going online, the fuse is OK(I even changed it). Battery also charges normally but the UPS does not go online.

Need help, also suggest a cheap(<1.5k) PSU with surge protection for my monitor only.

Howbout Zebronics or Wipro?
Zeb costs 1.5k and wipro 1.8k for 600va(enough for my Monitor).

My other options are Numeric, Intex and Microtek.

APC 500va costs nearly 2k, its also really large, I need a slim one.

buddy, if its ONLY for the monitor, then go for Numeric ups.(i say this as i hv used this UPS for a steady 4 yr period and it worked gr8 then i switched to APC 500VA UPS.) and the 2nd option wud be Microtek...
