Update ur antivirus and do a boot time scan.
Use hijack this and remove any suspicious service running in background. and you can use combofix also. download it and use carefully and after that run the virus scan. If the problem persists then post the hijack this log file here. |

I too use a combo of avast and spybot. These are best acc. to me.
Have you done a boot time scan from both of these. If not then do as follows: For Avast: Click on Menu icon(Top left) Then click shedule boot time scan and then select the required options and click ok. For Spybot: Click on Mode menu next to file menu(second from top left) Click advanced >Settings>settings> and scrol down to Automation > then system start and then select the option run programme once at next system start up. Then restart. But it will be better if U use hijack this first. It can be download form net or can be find on digit DVD may be on any freeware issue. Its a small utility. Use it its safe as you can make a backup before fixing the problem. And combo fix is the utility which cleans all the unexpected services then it become easy for virus cleaner to detect them and clean. and one more thing use Host expert before Combo fix. all these are small utilities and can be downloaded online for free. and there usage are also there. and feel free to use them they are safe. If it will be virus problem then it will be done for sure. If it works do tell and if not post ,it may be ur hard disk/temporary files/registery junk etc also. |

i will use it shortly and reply you.
there is one more symptom of hardware failure of mine. i have two windows loaded on my system one is Winxp home and other is windows seven beta version. there is a utility before booting because of windows seven which is called memoru diagnostic, when i use it then after 30% of test it says "that there is a issue with my memory to clear it or to check it contact hardware manager". can you tell tell wat type of hardware failure it is, also i checked my both ram on other system it is working fine, i m also attaching the screenshot of one of my error. Please tell me the other motherboard solution only in gigabyte (i.e. 4 RAM slots, 1 IDE slot, 1 pci*16 slot is must). i can spare on it only Rs.2500-3000. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24419518@N04/3350347269/

Here are some possibilities:
1. Check or replace the CMOS battery. Some motherboards can operate without a battery (they just cannot keep user settings), but they show weird behaviour with a weak battery. Remove it and test the voltage with a multimeter if you have one. 2. Disconnect and reconnect everything. (Turn off power and disconnect from the mains first!!). Everything means RAM sticks, PSU connectors to motherboard, gfx card, etc. 3. The problem could be heat-related. Most heat-related problems appear when the defective part has warmed up, but it occasionally happens that a defective part has to be warmed up first before it can work properly. To test for this, take a hair dryer, turn on the computer and blow warm air BRIEFLY on various parts of the computer (RAM etc) and see if it comes on. BTW, it's a good idea to give some indication of the nature of your problem in the subject line. |

If its not virus problem then try this:
Try removing one of the RAM alternately and check if the problem still persists. Try formatting the Window 7 installation. But make it ur last option. |

Please suggest me a good baord in price range of Rs.2500-3000. i want a baord which has 4 RAM slots supporting ram of DDR2 min.667mhz frequency and max.1066. and i need 1 PCI*16 slot and one IDE slot. these are the must points which i want in my board(my config. is intel pentium D 800FSB 3.0GHz, RAM= 1Gb DDR2 of kingston having frequency 667MHz and latency is 5-5-5-5, and my other RAM is of transcend of same frequency and same latency, 250Gb SATA HDD of WD, 400W PSU) suggest the Motherboard for this config. i like to buy "gigabyte".

and for your second solution i remove everything when my pc is not starting but again there is no response from the MB and also there is no beep sound after removing the RAM. but after 6-7 hours again it started and works well for 7-8 hours. i think my MB needs some repairing. just because of that i am thinking for the backup solution of my MB. please suggest me a good board, which has good capacitors or chips which can resist heat. ----------------------------------------- Posted again: ----------------------------------------- My HDD is working well and my both OS`s are working well on other computer, and i am running my system only on one RAM.

When you are saying another psu- are you trying with the same scrap?
Google and download orthos. Run the stress test for 5 hours. If it restarts then its a hardware issue. I would be skeptical to run this on an el cheapo psu. Run HDtune's error scan. If there's any bad sectors- time to replace the hard drive. After doing this- only then we will know if its hardware OR a software issue |

You should have used a good psu in the first place. Most probably your iball 400w allready damaged the motherboard. Even if you change the psu, the damage due to the old psu will still be there on the motherboard. Next time, make efforts to get a decent psu with your rig from the start- or else you will end up repairing the board- or worse even replacing the system itself.

MSI G31M2 V1
MSI G31M2 V2 G31M4-L G31M4-F m having little trouble finding 4 DIMM slot mobos from gigabyte and Asus the mobo you are counting is GA-EG31m-S21 or GA-EG31m-S2L, anyhow these have only 2 DIMM slots. run the tests sorcerer and pimpom have said, PSU can be the real culprit or some BIOS/mobo problem |

Read the power supply guide and choose one of the recommended power supplies. I think only thing you can afford is vip silver 400w- 500w with active pfc- it will be mentioned on the box where technical specs are or on the psu. Should cost 1.5k- 1.8k!! Anything below this is a comprimise and its you who is taking risk. Basic guide for the right power supply |

^^ How can a 800- 900 bucks worth psu can give equally worth capacitors, main caps, active pfc, MOVs, good quality pfc, equally good quality wires and 16AWG wires on rails which are needed?- not to forget cooling and casing alongwith warranty period.

Pity the OP is not from Kolkata. Jindal Computers in Kolkata have their own brand of 450W PSU, manufactured in their factory in China. (I'm not from Kolkata either, but I buy lots of stuff from the city).
I've fitted it in dozens of computers for friends and acquaintances over the past 4/5 years and only one has failed so far. And that was after a severe power fluctuation. It has a large quiet fan and build quality is OK. Price should be less than 1k. |
