Default DIMESNSION DILEMMA!!! Pls Help

Hi all....I am into 3d visualization...m currently using a SAMSUNG 17 crt monitor wt an AMD Dual core sys & 2gb ddr2....basically for me, the more viewing area on the screen, the better cuz i wrk on hi-end 3d modelling & lighting in architectural visualizations...now i wanna go 4 a new lcd monitor but i am really confused whether 2 go for square lcd( which r already fading away frm the market these days) or a widescreen samsung 2033...also, i was told that generally square lcds r better suited 4 us designers as circles can properly fit on square monitors than on Widescreen....pls help me out...pls suggest a gud monitor,,,BASIC USAGE like i mentioned will b 3d work & Gaming(already got a 8600gt) which is enough for me...PLS HELP...thanx

What's your budget. I would suggest Dell 248WFP or Dell 2408WFP.

perfect for 3d design.

But seriously, 8600GT for 3d visualization. nyaaah. If you are going to stick to 8600GT, no need to go for a new monitor.

1) CRT always gives lot better color reproduction and 17" CRT is good enough for that GPU.

thanx a lot for the quick reply....well true dat my gfx card is too low for 3d business but wil plan 2 upgrade it later....and as for the size, i think 4 me 20 inch is more than enuf considering my low budget...so accordingly, i think samsung 2033 20 inch shud more than suffice...wth say???
