Default Gaming LCD monitor

Hello Guys,

Firstly of all i m sorry to start a new thread for this...But was not able to find proper answers for the query I have...

Now then since when I have upgraded my system and now have the 4870 card...I have been very much willing to buy a LCD as I am still stuck on a 17' crt monitor(LG studioworks). But at the same time I have some queries too which is stopping me to buy that...so putting in a query here.

Will it really make a large difference in visual quality if I switch to LCD? I have heard many time that for gaming a CRT monitor is better?

Even if I have to switch to a LCD which will be good for gaming? my budget is 12k max. 20" inches will do

Thanks in advance...

there is no prob with such a thread...
since you have a 4870 you can easily get a good 22 inch monitor for your budget may be even 24.

Benq 22 " E2200HD FULL HD =11750Rs

do check the reviews.

and btw i guess today's LCDs offer the same or better quality as CRT

update
T2200HD(lacks HDMI1.3 / Audio in / Headphone Jack compared to E2200HD) is 9975RS

E2200HD is good , T2200HD also works good is there any one using the monitor speakers u ll die if u hear frm that

especially for HDMI -> DVI is common is gr8 for games so go for T2200HD

But please instead of the T2200HD go for the Samsung t220 full HD it is very gr8 one u wont disappoint with this check the reviews

I have Samsung T220. It's great and got very good specifications life 2ms response time and 20000:1 contrast ratio. The maximum resolution is 1680x1050 but that's more than enough for most of the games. 1920x1800 would beat the living hell out of your graphics card unless it's the GTX series or 4870.
Also Samsung T220 is a visual treat. It's really eye catching. I would anyday prefer Samsung T220 over BenQ E2200.

http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/prod...sd1&l=en&s=bsd

Dell 2009W (2000:1 (typical) contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 1680x1050 resolution)
Dell UltraSharp 2209WA( IPS panel, 178/178 viewing angle which is rare for LCD's)

I would say if you are looking for Gaming on 1920x1080 then go for BenQ E2200HD. 12k is a good price for a 1920x1080 LCD with HDMI. I had also inatially considered buying Samsung T2200 HD but at time I bought BenQ(3-4 months back) the reason I bought BenQ was my budget was 12k too and samsung was selling at around 15k at that time.

If you are looking for best bet at 12k w/o HD/HDMI then go for samsung T220.

^^see, first of all BenQ is no match to Samsungs and Dell's models. It has Color gamut problem.

Samsung T220 too is not a great monitor.

Ya I'm using BENQ T2200 HD giving me great performance for price I paid for it and it is dust cheap nowadays around 9.5k apx.

Remember neither dell 2209W nor samsung T220 are full HD. BTW DELL 2209W is best performer under 15K if full HD is not prime consideration.

NO. I would spend 11k on Dell/Samsung 22" models than spending 10k on a 19" display. Dell 198WFP retails for 7k and it's far far better than T190.

Hey guys what about Samsung 2233sw...its editor choice in techtree and they have clearly mentioned it to be far better than Benq E2200HD

http://www.techtree.com/India/Review...062-630-2.html

i am confused..shd I finalize Samsung 2233sw ...its costing 10.5 K and my lg studioworks 17" will go for around 2000 i guess ...so it will be a gud deal for 8K. what say?
