Default LCD : BenQ or ??

Sorry guys for starting new thread regarding "Which LCD should I buy ?"
I know, there are many threads but what I want is to start from beginning clearing all my doubts step by step.

Presently, I am using Samsung 17" CRT. Now, I am planning to purchase LCD for my desktop.

--> I want 22" LCD ( if there is little difference in 24" price, then I can go for 24")

--> I want to connect Airtel Digital TV & DVD player (Sound from external speakers)

--> I heard that BenQ E2200HD is good but never bought any product of BenQ, so don't
know about its quality & service.

(Please provide prices if possible)

Well if you want 16:9 and full HD, benQ is the way.

Else 16:10 and 1680x1050, there's Samsung 22" at the same price of 12k.

I meant Samsung 2233 SW.
Full HD, stylish looks than BenQ, awesome contrast ratio & colour reproduction. It just lacks HDMI port.

If u do not have any HDMI input then you can go for it. In future you can get a DVI to HDMI adapter cable, if you get any HDMI gizmo.

If you are not on a budget and if you want stunning visual quality, get Dell 2409WFP or 248WFP. BenQ 22" displays will be nothing before these models.

Heard a lot that Samsung pawns Benq. So I recommend the 2233SW over the 2200HD.

^^ You mean to say pwns or owns- You can pawn jewelry or something else which has a value but I doubt samsung can pawn benq .
I have seen e2200HD and its a fantastic screen. I heard that 2233sw which is cheaper and on specs its same as e2200HD. I haven't seen the samsung 22 inch model yet so not in a position to comment on it. See if you try to get an audition for both the screen side by side if the shop keepers can do so which they do usually for serious customer AND if they have an opened piece.

Personally, I have experienced both the LCD monitors, not side by side though.
I definitely feel Samsung is better than BenQ.

In the end, it's the buyer's decision.

Better in display quality & performance ? As features wise I think, BenQ is better

features?? what features??

In the end it all comes down to Panel quality and in this, BenQ is no match for Dell or Samsung. They just rock this one out.

While purchasing a display, it's the display quality and build quality that is important and not features like tiny tinny speakers

@bajaj151 - Featurewise?? You mean to say the HDMI port which is lacking on Samsung??

I found Samsung to be better on performance front, since I do not care about HDMI port.

Ya, except HDMI (which is of no use to me) both are same. Speakers are good 4 nothing.

If there is any other difference..tell me ?

DVI cable comes with Samsung 2233SW ?

Both are good, but seriously, the Samsung monitor has a much lower price(Rs. 1,700 less) and is much better in black colour reproduction and the piano black finish is awesome too.

Best of all, both are 16:9 FULL HD.

As compared to BenQ E2200HD

Samsung 2233SW (-ve) -

-No bundle DVI-D cable (what is the cost of cable ?)
-NO HDMI port

Samsung 2233SW (+ve)-

-Display much better than BenQ E2200HD

Finally, I will go Samsung 2233SW...

You are getting a dvi cable with it. I dont see any difference with dvi and hdmi- other than the fact that HDMI uses onboard speakers on the monitor. In a nutshell HDMI= dvi+ ability to use onboard speakers on the screen. The screen has HDCP support so you will be able to see high def content via dvi connection. Since the screen does not have speakers and even a Rs. 500- Rs. 1000 worth speakers sound more "alive" than the speakers on the screen. If you see it that way, you are not making much of a comprimise.

According to ranjan2001, latest price of BenQ E2200HD is 10,500 (Nehru Place).
and acc to u, benq display quality is good.

Now, I think Benq is better option (only difference of 500)

^^seriously dude, I don't understand. How can BenQ be a better option just coz of speakers when it has inferior quality when compared to Dell/Samsung.

Please stop spamming the thread with same post again and again.

Still if you want to go for BenQ, it's your wish and later don't cry after looking at quality of 2233SW or S2209W.

Benq t2200HD is good.
Frankly speaking when people recommend a brand and say "great" multimedia experience, they need to see that TN panel lcd screens aren't great- especially when it comes to colour reproduction and accuracy. I will most probably try and see if I can review samsung 2233sw myself.
