Default Hard Drive Jitters


I have an external hard drive. It was working fine until now. Yesterday when I plugged it in, it didn't respond. I have valuable data on the drive. Can the data be recovered?? Please repsond asap because its very crucial.

What does it mena "didn't repond"???
Was drive detected??
If not, try in a few more PCs...to be sure its not ur USB port...
If, its same with every PC, then there's no way to recover d data...only the H/W support people of d company "can" do something...if under warranty they will replace/repair ur drive.
To recover ur data they may charge u...

Yes the drive gets detected after some time and opens too on double clicking but I cann't see any content there. I cann't even transfer content to the drive.

Connect it to ur frnd's PC, check if contents are showing.
If not run checkdisk on it.

Report back...

A few good data recovery s/w are there, I would recommend "Recover My Files"...remember its paid
