WiFi Router Dilemma

Soon I am changing my dataone broadband plan to unlimited so that I can connect my laptop wirelessly from anywhere in my home. Please tell me, should I buy the default type II router from BSNL or should I buy any other wifi router. Please suggest..

if u have a router from BSNL, then see will the exhange to wireless router.
they charged me 1800 when i got my connection first time

I think they only exchange rented modems...I purchased my modem when I got the connection..so I don't think there is any chance of exchanging the modem with wifi modem...

then better of buying a good wireless router which suits you, likes of linksys and D-Link

How much is the type II router?
If its more than 2k then go for linksys WRT 54 router

i wud say go for separate router from linksys, and if wanna keep low cost check in the bazzar section for some good second hand.
