Exclamation Buying A Harddisk


Heya guys,
i have a 80 gb seagate ide harddisk. now i have run out of space and am considering to buy a 160 gb sata harddisk. will both ide and sata be compatible. and after i buy the harddisk, how do i go about installing the partisions. and cud anyone tell me if my mobo is sata 2 compatible. my mobo is asus k8v-vm ultra.

follow ur MB docs/Google it.if u hv some extra money go 4 at least 320-500 gb with 16-32 mb buffer.it wll costs 3-500 more.
