Exclamation Changing My Motherboard....


i have a m2n-mx se motherboard & it sucks...planning to upgrade the mb to something better, yet value for money. i have a am2 x2 4200 cpu & 2 GB 667 Mhz ram..

Please recommend a good motherboard...

Depends more on the budget- which you haven't mentioned BTW. I doubt there is any issue in compatibility with newer boards though- atleast as far as I know. The ones I mentioned have 4 slots. For the sake of discussion- even if they were 2 slot mobo, I dont see any reason to keep them aside. You get 2x 2GB rams and I doubt many use more than 4GB since 4GB is properly utilized on 64 bit OS. No point in buying or rejecting a board for a lesser pci slot or ram slots. Very few use them, out of which few of them a set of 4 rams which can be bought easily in set of 2 rams just for the heck of occupying space.
