New Phenom X4 and Asus Motherboard.

Dear friends,
Can anybody please suggest me which motherboard (ASUS) and Phenom Quad core processor can be purchased in kolkata at around Rs. 12000 including 2 GB Zion 800 Mhz Ram. I use mainly for 3D max and maya and slight gaming.

Ihave sorted out. ASUS M3N78 -EM Motherboard and Phenom X3 8750.
I am ready to have suggestions.
Vedant Infosys Kolkata gave me these price quotations:-

Phenom X3 8750 === Rs. 5300
ASUS M3N78 -EM Motherboard ==== Rs. 4600

Get phenom X4 9550. It's Rs. 6500 or so & scales better in multimedia/gfx apps than x3.

IMO wait. Phenom II X3 710, Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition, Phenom II X4 810, Phenom II X4 910, Phenom II X4 920, Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition are all going to be here soon and we can see some great price cuts.

Buddy look at his budget. He needs a mobo, proc & 2GB ram @ Rs. 12K.
But only a phenom 2 940 costs Rs. 13K.

1st of all buddy there is no ASUS M3N78 -EM Mobo which you jhave quoted in your first post.
There is a mobo called M3N78-EH which is based on Nvidia 8200 chipset &
there is another one called M3N78-EMH HDMI which is based on same chipset but has a HDMI port. So it's price is much higher.

The first mobo asus M3N78-EH is a good choice. stick with it.

& for Ram get Transcend. They will cost Rs. 150-200 than zion.

I think topgear u r making a mistake asus has a m3n 78 em model Mobo which had nvidia 8300 gt in built and cost @4600 in kolkata.

And for arindom Imo u should go for phenom x4 9950 black edition which cost@8200 in kolkata,i know it is a bit high but as u said u work in 3d max so this cpu is great in performance and good in overclocking...

Yeah. It was an mistake. Sorry for that. I found that 8300 based mobo.

Good suggestion but I think that he is not in ocing & I doubt how far he can oc that proc with that mobo. So it's better to stick with phenom 9550.

If he really wants oc then he should opt for atleast amd 780G chipset. Now gigabyte has one mobo which costs nearly same as asus one.

Instead of that get Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2HP . It's Rs. 4.8K or so
& is based on AMD 780G which is better than 8200/8300.

But I have just purchased Intel Core 2 Duo - 2.8 Ghz
MSI p43 neo3 f motherboard, Transcend 4 GB Ram, Zebronics Reaper Cabinet, Zebronics Delta 520 watt PSU.

dude isnt phenom 8750 a tri core processor... its better if u wait a month or 2 as price cuts ll happen n go fr x4 920... wit tat u can go fr a asus or gigabyte motherboard... check the compatability online... the sites ll give u....
