Suggest me a Desktop {Max Rs.55,000}
Please suggest me a desktop config that should not cross 55k....It can reach 55k
Primary Purpose is gaming and video encoding...
I am planning to buy it this thursday @ Hyd..
Forget UPS,Keyboard,Mouse and Speakers...I have them
Urgent...PLease help.......

Generally .. i need to buy a desktop vch shud run windows 7 {Ofcourse same compatability of vista} ... i use it for video encoding , play high end games......

I'm Thinking of building a new system on the following lines
1). E8400 - at Rs.8690
Or
. . .E7300 - at Rs.5800
Or
. . .Q6600 - at Rs.9690
Will OC <- So which is better bang for buck? considering extra cost of aftermarket cooler if required
2) Palit HD 4850 at Rs.8800
3) GA-EP35-DS3L at Rs 4800
4) Samsung 2253BW @ Rs 11700
5) Vx450W - Rs. 4000
Or
. . .CoolMaster 600W - Rs. 3200
6) 4 Gigs (2g x2) Transend/Kington @ Rs2400 < -can i use them at 4-4-4-12, these are 5-5-5-15 Value ram
7) Altec Lansing VS3251 at Rs 4000
My budget for all (inc UPS , K/b mouse Etc.) is 50K
So what do u think guys is it a cool rig or any improvements that u can think of!
My Uses Are Gaming Crysis, NFS, COD etc. Virtualization - Lots of it! i.e VMWare, Gynamips etc
I would like to stick to Intel and wish new Phenom II will push things down
1. phenom II 920: Rs. 11500
2. Q9300-q9400 : Between 11000-12000(appx)

^^Purpose ? You are switching between quad cores and dual cores like there's no difference between them. Decide what you want first.
If you want a Bang-For-Buck overclocker, wait for AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition. Will come under 7K with unlocked multiplier and great overclocking potential. Already released in UK, expected soon in India.
For lots of virtualisation stay away from Dual Cores.

^^If you need it right now. It's better to go for Q8200. Don't know if prices go low or up, it's better if you get it now. No one knows when AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE comes to India.

Good config, bad CPU unless you OC.
U shud have spend 1k more and got the HD4850 SONIC. There's a reason SONIC is popular. It run's MUCH cooler.

Extend to 60k and you can get the best:
core i7 920--14k
Gigabyte UD3R--14k
Corsair tri-channel 3gb ram--7.5k
Msi HD4870--12.5k
BenQ 22" monitor-10k
samsung sata dvd writer--1.1k
For video encoding, nothing comes close to the i7 with its 8 logical cores... As for gaming, the HD4870 is very vfm and you can play every game easily... I highly suggest you extend your budget and get this...plus its future proof too.
