Question Connect Notebook to TV

Hi All,

I have Compaq Presario V6608AU Notebook PC with Svid out its 7Pin Port.
I have AV in port in my Smasung Ultraslim TV.

I bought a 7Pin(SVID) to 3RCA (AV in)cable. & connected the same to my Notebook & TV.

But I am not getting any screen on my TV..!!!!!!!!!!!

Please tell me what should I do.

Regards
Sudhir

You need to enable the TV Out from the display drivers if you are on Windows.

Exclamation Re: Connect Notebook to TV

Thanks,

But I am not able to find any options where I cam enable my S-Video out. Its because either its already enabled or I am not able to find that option.....!!!!!!!!!!

Also the model# of my TV is CS29A730
Link:
http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer/d...CS29A730ELTXXL

Is it because its not possible to connect a laptop to TV i.e S-Video(out) to AV(in) using S-Video to AV Cable.

Also I think my Laptop is able to detect my TV as all the controls are getting tranferred to secondary display. But my TV is not displaying the same.

Regards
Sudhir

No, an s-video to a-v connection works just fine. The s-video connection needs to be enabled from the graphics setup program (if nVidia then the Forceware panel, if ATi then from the Catalyst CC).

Also make sure you are connecting to AV-in in your TV and selecting the proper AV mode.

You need to put the TV in proper AV mode.
