Had the same problem with my Samsung one. Its a faulty drive. Get it repaired/replaced.

[On a side note scan your pc for virus or spyware just to be sure]

I have noticed a few computer users manually pushing the tray in, instead of using the eject button. This damages the tray mechanism.
So if u do the above thing, avoid doing it henceforth.

The drive is over 2 years old so I cannot claim any warranty.. and I always use the eject button for opening/closing the tray.. there are no viruses in my pc.. so I think its a mechanical issue...
anyways thanks..

Some drives do have that issue but got resolved by flashing the new firmware. Had an issue with samsung 203-d, but after flashing the firmware, it was working fine.
