BoooBooo Seeks Help : Weird RAM Problem

I Have A Kingston SD DDRII 800Mhz. 2GB RAM On My Computer. I Installed Another RAM Of Same Brand And Specs But The Computer Shows Only 3GB Instead Of 4 GB RAM. When The RAMs Are Put Individually They Both Show 2GB But When Put Together They Show 3GB Only. The Only Difference In The RAMs Is That One Is Slim While The Other Is The Usual Fat Size.

Please Help. I Use Win XP On Neo P45 MotherBoard + Intel C2D 9800 Processor + Palit 9600 GeForce Graphics.

win xp can utilise only a max of 3gb ram....if you use vista it will show up as 4gb.

vista 32bit uses only 3.5gb..Vista 64bit can read up to 16gb.

You Mean To Say That System Information Will Only Show 3GB Due To The Fact That I Use Win XP Media Center Edition And That All Is Well In My Computer.

Is There Any Way I Can Find Out The Actual RAM Installed...

actually your system will not utilize the xtra RAM if the OS does not supp it.
