Where to get Palit HD4870 in Nehru Place?

Hello guys,

Can anyone tell me where to purchase Palit HD4870 in Nehru Place??

I went there in the last week of November '08 and nobody was stocking Palit cards. I tried a lot of shops on 1st floor where Cost 2 Cost is located but nobody was selling them. Only MSI HD4870 were available. So I postponed my purchase.

But now I'm going to buy one this February, so can you lease tell me the address of any shop and its contact details (if possible)!!

This Place is good. Also on the same floor, but on the opposite end, is RR Enterprises..they are good too..!

I have also tried to purchase from SMC in Dec'08 and paid advance also. But after about 2 weeks time I took back the advance amount and purchased on line from Primeabgb, Mumbai. The price was Rs. 16900 for Palit HD 4870 1 GB dual sonic. The price quoted by another shop 'Computer Empire' at 1st floor Nehru place was Rs. 17,700.
The delivery of Primeabgb was very prompt and dealing was very good.

Was the price 16900/- inclusive of VAT+Shipment???

And how much time did it take b/w ordering & delivery???


But plz someone confirm me the price of HD4870 from Nehru Place so that if need be I can order from PrimeABGB...

The price of Rs. 16900 was inclusive of VAT. Shipping charges was extra.
Now the price has slightly reduced to Rs. 16750, I suppose.

The delivery of Primeabgb was very prompt. I have received my GPU next day after transfering fund to their ICICI bank account. You can definitely try.

The price at Nehru place was at least Rs. 500-600 higher compared to even that landed cost ex Primeabgb including VAT and shipping charges.

Make sure you have an equally worthy power supply. Many people complain about graphic cards dying and calling graphic card (or any parts) as substandard for that matter but ignore the fact that things die for a reason- power supply is one of the main ones. Prevention is better than cure. You cant afford a decent power supply according to your system- a burnt system is the last thing on your mind.

So finally I went for Sapphire graphics card!

That's it folks!! I'm happy with my Crysis and UT3 and all.... Yippeeeeee!!!

SMC International waala is a gr8 thug! Very bad customer interaction and high prices...

MSI P45 Platinum is indeed much better than Gigabyte DS3L. I went for it after much online research. Great packaging and bundle apart from gud OCing ability and rock solid performance.

Actually, i am planning for new mobo. another thing...how is the onboard soundcard on Platinum? Could you give a brief review on it along with the your own O/Cing experience? And hows the temp readings @ stock and @ o/c ?

I haven't OCed it permanently till now, instead I've used Dynamic OCing function provied thru the SW on the Drivers CD. The temp of any of the cores doesn't go above 51°C at any time that I've noticed.

And the onboard soundcard is OK as long as you have good speakers. No problem with that. But if you want you can go for a basic soundcard. That'll do.

I'll go for a permanent OCing when I get enough time this coming weekend and when I've read some nice guide on OCing.
