Ram Fix

i have P4 2.8 ... 512 Mb HDD, 8400GS pci X16... P915GAV

m in a new fix... Got a new 1 GB DDR RAM... if i use it alone it gives me 400 mhz speed... and if put it along with my 512 MB ram.. though it becoms 1.5 GB but runs at 333MHZ... so shd i run 1 gb at 400 mhz or 1.5 gb at 333??


And ll crysis run on it??

333Mhz & 400Mhz don't have much performance difference. Your old ram is probably 333Mhz one so the new ram is running at 333mhz to maintain stability.

Use 1.5GB ram @ 333Mhz speed or else
if you can buy another 1 GB 400mhz module & run your sys with 2x 1GB 400mhz ram that will be the best

if u want more performance from ur system install 1gb x 2 memory so that u can get dual channel configuration its lot better when it comes to performance in games!!!

You can go for 1.2GB @ 333 Mhz.

But as I & max_snyper said :

It would be best to go for 2x 1GB mem modules in dual channel cxonfig.

You will get 15-30% more performance ( varies from apps to apps )
