IDE\Pata drive invisible ! ! !

my ide\pata [80gb] drive is invisible on my frds pc ... i just wanted 2 dump some of my data on 2 his ... his machine [intel 2duo 4.5ghz, asus m3a79 motherboard, 500gb SATA hdd, 3gb RAM] ..... connected as slave on his IDE port with DvD ritter as master .... in computer management >> storage >> disk management .... it shows my disk as "unallocated" .....

& now he [frd] tells me ..... he quick formatted my c: drive 2 install vista ... i didnt tell him, just 2 surprise me with new OS ..... & he restarted his machine ... & he got this [drive not shown in explorer & unallocated in disk management] ...

his drive is NTFS & mine is [was] FAT32 .....

whot 2 do ??? is my data gone 2 ???

if he qucik formatted your drive , yeah your data is gone.. only professional recovery softwares can recover your data and its not easy.. so if it was not that valuable , then forget it sorry.. man

that stupid guy has ruined me ...... bt he erased only drive not the rest ..... which recovery softy will do it ?
