Considering the fact that P2-920 is only DDR2 and HT 2.0 compatible, I feel its better to wait till the HT 3.0 and DDR3 capable P2-925 come out.

OR get a cheaper ~8K worth Athlon X4 2.8GHz CPU which is supposed to launch soon.

what i meant was in competition with Quad series both p2 fell between INTEL'S Q9xxx and Q8xxx... 4get bout icore series.
And amd Themself said that they are competing Q9xxx and Q8xxx....

we will have to wait for am3 boards and proccys to arrive in feb

and there is goin to be a price cut in 1st week of feb from intel for quads
amd is going to follow that later...........

But same approach will be taken by Intel in anticipation so Intel offerings should stay rosier then AMD's.

yes. there is price drop from amd and intel.

PII 940 to cost $235, PII 920 to cost $195 and Q9400 to cost $219.

But the biggest price cut is for Q9650. 40% price cut and is now available for $317

AMD Phenom II benchmarks out!! Goodbye Q94xx for more info on price cuts.
