Default convert dynamic volume to basic volume

recently i bought a wd320gb hdd.as this was the first time that i was using 2 hdds, i didn't know much about configuring the new disk so i simply created 2 partitions on this new drive one 40gb and another 260gb.now when try to install win7 beta on the new 40gb partition, it says that it's a dynamic volume and os can't b installed in a dynamic volume. is there any way to convert dynamic volume to basic volume? i dont want to lose the data on 260 gb partition.
plz help!!
