Default CPU-Z Showing a Fake Speed


Hi friends,
I have Intel Core2Duo E4500 @ 2.20GHz
but whenever i check CPU-Z it always shows 1198.8MHz

whats the prob????
also if i check it in My computer it shows 2.20GHz

Are you using the latet version ? It's 1.49.

Have you disabled intel speedstep & C1E monitor in bios.

its not cpu-z's fault...its intel EIST...disable it in your bios...Its a power saving feature which reduces your cpu multiplier when there is no stress on the cpu...when you play games or do something to stress your cpu...leave it on just to save energy but if your OCing then disable it.
