How good are TV tuner cards?

though not soon im planning to buy a Digital TV tuner card for my PC to use along with TATA Sky.
but i have never used one till now hence i have some questions.
-How good is the quality...is it as good as watching on TV?
-what abt the Quality of recording?
-will i be able to watch all the channels?
-do have to just connect the card to the LNB ?
-finally,is it an equal alternative to TATA Sky+?

How can I connect my DishTV to my PC (tv tuner card)?

its not a good option to invest in a digital TV tuner card atleast if you use tata sky STB of which comes with one and only composite out for video that offers just analog qualtiy. And even a cheap intex card will do the job.

1) The Quality depends upon u r provider, if u r using TATA SKY or DishTV, then the quality is excellent.

2) I am using PixelView TV Tuner Card To Record prog..as DishTV is providing excellent quality i am not facing any issue with recording Quality...The software that came with my TV Tuner Drivers give me the following recording options
MPEG-1 - 352x240 - 1800MB/h , MPEG-2 - 720x480 - 3600MB/h , VCD-NTSC - 352x240 517MB/h , SVCD-NTSC - 480x480 1300 MB/h , DVD-NTSC - 720x480 - 3600MB/h , VCD-PAL 352x240 - 517MB/h , SVCD-PAL 480x480 - 1300MB/h , DVD-PAL - 720x480 - 3600MB/h , AVI 320x240 - 24.3GB/h , MPEG4 - 320x240 - 468MB/h.

3) You can able to watch all the channels, bcause as u have to change the channel from u r STB only.

4) No, the RCA output from u r DigiComp has to be connected to the TV Tuner Card.

5) Its an equal alternative to TS+ bcause we can burn CD's also through PC, TS+ has only 160GB of HDD present in it.....

Can u tell the full model number of PixelView TV Tuner Card and the cost of it and also tell whether it is internal or usb one and will it work with cable tv also??

And also tell is this is normal card or some special card like digital ??
can u also tell will any tv tuner card works for recording tata sky , dish tv, big tv and cable tv?? Is recording tata sky signal is different from cable tv signal as tata sky is digital and cable is analogue. Please clear my douts.

Can u confirm that any card analogue card will also work with tata sky, dish tv and big tv , and airtel and cable tv

i have got my TV Tuner Card as a gift...so i don't expect anything from it....It helps me in Recording TV shows from DishTV and TS...
