Default weird problem!


i have been facing a weird problem lately
whenever i take 2-3 renders back to back of some heavy scene under maya, my comp suddenly crashes w/o giving any warning.
i m using a 450w power supply(some local company)
can anyone tell what might b the problem??

it isnt weird..
your pc cannot handle the heavy processing that takes place and the heat generated can cause the PC to crash/shutdown suddenly

Pcs are not supposed to shut down unless made to.
I need temps. Google for real temp and let me know the processor temps on idle first.
Google for orthos and run a blend test for 4-5 hours. Let me know if it shuts down or restarts. If it does, something is wrong. Also update the bios to a newer one. Google for hd tach and run error scan. If you see red square- there are bad sectors. I think asus has a software on their disk to check their rail voltage. Not sure the name but pretty sure its bundled with all newer (and some old) boards.

idle temp is 24-25c
orthos ran fine.the peak temp while running orthos was 60c.
hd tach results were also fine..
no such s/w came bundled with my mobo.
any idea what might b the problem??

i've ordered palit 9800gt thru lynx but i think they will take 10days for delivery.
currently i m workin on a project whose deadline is not too far away
so, i didn't want to wait..but this problem has left no other option for me

direct a "table" fan on your PC to see if the problems occur
