Default RAM issue

Hi im using intel core 2 duo processor and dg335 original motherboard.my doubt is i am using 1 gb ram of 667 mhz speed.now i took one more ram of 800 mhz speed.is it compatibe it.

Why dont you sell 1GB 667 mhz ram and get 2GB 800mhz ddr2 ram? Same chip same mhz same ram.

To answer your question it is compatible BUT the 800Mhz RAM will scale down to the speed and timings of the 667Mhz RAM so in effect you would have 2 ddr2 667 Ram's.
