laptop battery status

hi friends,
my laptop battery is not giving any backup all of a sudden from 1.5 hrs to nill. so i beleive there may be some OS error. can anyone help.
secondly can anyone list the price of the battery for my lappy - compaq pressario 3018 TU.

well battery going bad is what is the only expected answer.
Check with the HP stores.
