Recommend a DVD writer!

Budget :- Rs .1000-1500

Go for Lite-On or SAMSUNG...don't go for Sony..some of its writers have reading issues (like mine)...don't go for LG some of its writers have tray-ejecting issues..

Yeah i have sony right now.And as you mentioned it cant read some audio cds.
Apni marzi hoti hai toh read kar leta hai.But i have already used it for 3 years.And now it cant write any dvds.

Whats the price of lite on or samsung dvd writers?

i have a samsung sh-s223b dvd-rw that i bought back in may. it cost me 1150/- then..i am quite satisfied with it as it hasn't shown any problems..it is good in reading scratched disks also..

go for any brand but dont go for song i am using it, it is really bad many issues like dont read some disks .

I recommend to Lite-on DVD Writer.Which is best in reading & Writing.
Don't go with those brand's sony & LG u may face the problem in the future.

I also recommend Samsung..as it not only read sratched dvds but also have good customer support....price is very low 1100/-....easily available...previously have Sony..uffffffff it was disgusting.......

I bought LG cd writer for 3,500 four years back. Still i am using it and works very fine. Not even a single problem.

yah...dost....mera 25 se 30 dvd kharap ho gaya hai iss Sony ke bajah se....lekin zab se Samsung ko liya no problem....bindass dvd-writer

@raj lol i bought Samsung Cd writer in 2003 with my first pc and i am still using it and i have written more than 2500 cds.Not even a single problem.

yahh go for Samsung...it is very good in affordable rate..also has good customer support..agar by chance kharap hoy gaya to they just replaced it with a newer one...

the difference is the way in which the dvd writer communicates with ur system

go for sata as it offers better transfer speeds than ide

but make sure u hav a sata port on ur mobo

In the past, Samsung was considered the worst, with tray issues and all. Now they are considered very good even by cdfreaks. I am using thier SH-S203B for more than a year without any problem.

I had a samsung 1, it just stopped working 1 day. My friend has samsung and it reads dvd's depending on mood. One of my samsung cdrw never had a problem though. Now i hav a lg 20x dvd rw which when i took was cheapest i could find here. No prob. Til now.
