Talking Connecting computers in LAN

In our room we have a computer and a laptop. The laptop has bluetooth and I bought a USB bluetooth dongle for my system. I am able to transfer files between the two.
We have 'You connect ' internet connection for the laptop .
Now , how can I connect both the systems in LAN and share the internet connection between the two ?

Unhappy Re: Connecting computers in LAN

I have vista and xp in laptop and xp in desktop.
I tried the above procedure in laptop in xp and not able to connect.
I cannot follow The above said procedure in vista as the options are different.

Actually , I have a bluetooth dongle for my desktop (xp). It created a connection 'bluetooth network' in the 'Network connections'.
My laptop (Vista) has inbuilt bluetooth .There is a connection 'Local area connection 2 (Bluetooth personal area network)'in Network connections.

Now is it possible to connect these two systems in LAN ? How ?

I connect to internet (you tele conection ,Ethernet based) in laptop using 'Local area connection' and 'you connect' .

Now can I share this betweeen the two systems ? How?

I tried the above procedure but not able to connect properly.

In Laptop
Local area connection 2 (Bluetooth personal area network )-- properties-- ipv4--propreties
IP adress 192.168.0.1
subnetmask 255.255.255.0
default gateway 192.168.0.2

preferred DNS server 192.168.0.2

In desktop
Local area connection -- properties-- ipv4--propreties
IP adress 192.168.0.2
subnetmask 255.255.255.0
default gateway 192.168.0.1

preferred DNS server 192.168.0.1.
The connection in Desktop shows connected but in laptop it shows 'not connected'.

What to do?

If I am not clear in my question ,plz let me know and will tell my problem clearly.

thank u

Anyone help me plz......
