Bullocks, you have a 17" display and you are connecting a 14k mobo to it??

anyways, that asus mobo doesn't have IGP and you need to buy a graphics card.

here's my config:

1) Intel Q8200 quad core for 10k or Q9400 quad core with 12MB L2 cache for 15k or Core i7 920 for 15k
2) ASUS P5Q-Pro for 8k or MSI X58 Platinum for 15k
3) Graphics card (how much can you pay for this)??
4) 4Gig DDR2 1066 RAM or OCZ Gold Edition - 1333Mhz (1GB x 2 KIT) DDR3 for 6k

If you really want a killer rig with good upgradeability, go for Core i7 based PC.

Yupp.........
I will use 17" flatron until I found nice LCD in market.
Today's LCD (below 7K) shows very poor results. LCD technology yet to improve a lot.

And lot of people suggesting me to get Q4 or i7.
But i personally found that though intel is good on paper but it fail to prove itself on real practice as far as graphics is concern.
And as i7 is new to the market it is unreliable. & afterall intel (A big looser) comeup with i7 having architecture similar to AMD.

And as far as Graphic card is concern I will look for HD4750.

Bye the way thanks.

^^ i7 unreliable?? intel fail on real practise???

Ever heard about E8200?? It blew away AMD and Intel quad cores in gaming and multimedia.

coming to architectures, AMD is still paying Intel to use X86 architecture, so please don't go there.

I still suggest core i7. It is a well refined and well laid out architecute that is going to rule the market and take the crown from core 2 quad.

for GPU, is it HD4850 that you are referring to??

Reason why I am saying i7 is coz of this: My core i7-920 and MSI x58 ECLIPSE review

Have a chat with him about the rig and you will find answers to all your doubts (or myths)

PS: Looks for Gigabyte or ASUS's X58 mobo. Looks like MSI Bios is having an issue.
