i can not install windows xp in my pc with mercurypnmcp73v

Recently i bought mercury pnmcp73v mother board and my pc configuration is pentium 4 3.06Ghz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB SATA HDD. Im not able to install windows XP in my PC. What is the problem with it..
please some body help

Look for an option in the BIOS like Storage/Hard Drive configration, Look for a sub-option like SATA Native mode(if its present Disable it) or may be the option could be - Configure SATA as(Set it as IDE, default should be AHCI), XP should install now.
