Smile Help me !!! Hard disk

I am having mobo D102GGC2 with 1GB RAM and 80GB ATA Harddisk with Sony DVD writer(So called ata or scsi). The reason to post all these here is that i want to add 500GB SATA Harddisk to my computer, so it is possible to use both harddisk ATA and SATA at the same time and my dvd writer will work or not. Please tell me D102GGC2 supports max of how much GB of Harddisk, can i also add 1TB HD.

Relpy SOon...

If ur MOBO supports SATA u can use both IDE and SATA.

And the IDE cables accepts two connections at a time, as u've told ur DVD writer is ATA, make it as slave and IDE HDD as master and primary boot disk (if planning to boot from this hdd).
