EVGA warranty

Hi friends,
My friend's cousin had bought an EVGA 8600GT from the US, one and a half year back. My friend here had been using the card but recently the card stopped working. He had registered the card online within one month of purchase.

Is there any service centre in Mumbai?

I talked with Mr. Anil Sharma of Tirupati Enterprises(Distributors of EVGA) and he told me nothing can be done about the card as it has been purchased outside India. But he told me I could buy a new card from them for a lesser price.

Please help guys!!!

I was gonna do that but thought it would be better to ask over here first.

If there is anyone here who has an EVGA gfx card and has faced a similar problem, plz share your experience.
