Default VX922 not switching on!

My Viewsonic VX922 is having problems the third time and after two replacements. After booting up the PC, the monitor is blank and the LED on the switch on button keeps blinking. Pressing the button switches it off. Repeating it several times makes the monitor work normally. I am fed up with this and reluctant to RMA, due to the long delay and the need to make several calls!! Any help?

Better get it RMA'd. If it keeps popping up with the same issue then it's of no use trying to apply a temporary solution to it. Don't you have a stand by monitor to work on while this gets RMA'd?

There were two earlier posts by me regarding the difficulties faced in the RMA with VS and those of us who remember will understand the suffering. Still, if there is no other solution, I will have to RMA as the last resort.

Just went through both your earlier threads & looks like you have been through a raw ordeal with the Viewsonic RMA support. I had the similar issue of colour settings main menu popping up without even pressing a button. Called up the care centre & they said an engineer will be there within 24hrs. The next day an engineer came by & fixed up the issue. Since then never had any such problems.

Here, a nearby dealer collects the monitor and couriers it to Bits&Bytes, Cochin for inspection and repair/replacement. The guy who comes from the local shop cannot even distinguish between an LCD and a CRT!
