Default shared video memorey problem

My frd has
a 2gb ram and he using my onboard graphics...

the problem is that the dedicated memory of his video card is 256MB and 639MB of his ram memory is shared with his video memory making a total video memory of 895MB which is really affecting his pc's performance.

Is there any way to remove the shared memory

chipset---------> amd 780g
2 gb transcend 800mhz ram

Default Re: shared video memorey problem

Go to BIOS (Press Del Repeatedly during startup) and there will be some display setting... Go lower the Memory from there..... 64 MB will be sufficient....

It will be quite cool if you do this in presence of a friend who knows BIOS. Be cautious and refer BIOS Manual if you feel uncomfortable.....

cudnt quite get u?
r u using onboard gfx or a dedicated gfx card?
if its a dedicated gpu sudnt cause probs even if it shows that sys ram is shared with the gfx card cuz this shared ram is used only in cases where the onboard vram of the gpu is filled.
