Dvd Writer Problems

my dvd writes not writing dvd or cd , but sometimes it even refuse to read a DVD

samsung OCtoedge SATA 18X

what to do PLEASE HELP./............
i hve already wasted 7-8 DVD's trying to WRITE but it it stops at 1 % then there is not even blinking green light on the dvd rw tray.......

Seems like your burner is on its deathbead... lol! Ask for replacement immediately, if its in warranty... else consider repairing/replacing.

what about samsung drives ?

its only 4 months OLD.

pc runs almost 24x7 .........

downloading stuff
downloaded around 300 gigs .........
now MY HDD FULL....

what about samsung warranty policy......
can i get a new one on d same day OR will it be repaired ?

Sorry, I dont know about Samsung service. Samsung has the worst reputation in optical drives.... though some say they have improved lately.

Chances are they will see if the drive is repairable 1st... if its not, they should of course replace it. Check your manual/literature to see their warranty terms. Anyway, try and push forcefully for a replacement... weather they give you a replacement that fast would depend on how friendly Samsung is ...and your luck...
