Re: sugesstion on buying new computer
I dont think tat in 15-16K budget for a CPU, u will be able to get a C2D..
Well, for the RAM part, jus go for 1GB+1GB+1GB+1GB=4GB of Total RAM and make them work in dual channel mode (if ur mobo has 4 slots) or else if u opt for 2 GB RAM then go for 512MB+512MB+512MB+512MB=2GB of Total RAM (same here also, in dual channel mode)
and DO NOT go in for an inbuilt gpu (on board gpu) even if u are jus building up ur cpu for casual usage, as the onboard gpu is NO match with the dedicated (separate) gpu card..

Re: sugesstion on buying new computer
E7200 = 5.5K
Biostar/Palit P35 mobo in 4K
8600GT 256MB DDR3 for gfx in 3K(I will recommend increase budget and get lil better gpu)
Burner 1.1K
RAM single stick 2GB DDR2 800FSB in 1.5K
Zebronics Cabinet with 400 PSU in 1.5K
Keyboard + MOuse Logitech combo 750 bucks
HDD spend all remaining in it starting from 250GB seagate.
you do not breach 15-16K mark, easy go.

Re: sugesstion on buying new computer
AMD X2 5200+ - 3.6
Gigabyte 780G based motherboard - 4.7
2x1GB RAM 800MHz - 1.5
250GB HDD - 2.2
DVD Writer - 1.1
Decent Cabinet with min 400-450W SMPS - 1.5
Total=14.6k
Go for higher processor based on budget. If you want a gfx card, stretch the budget a bit, opt for a slightly lower processor and get a gfx card; but I recommend that you purchase this first and then add a gfx card later when budget allows

Re: sugesstion on buying new computer
why dont you visit some of the recognized computer showrooms and check out the features and decide on what is ur necessity or you can check some of the sites online. here is one link that my friend sent it me....he said that there is discount....and the offer closes on 27th dec 2008. you can take a look at it:
