Exclamation BSNL modem 'forgets' port forwarding after it is restarted

I'm having a ut-300r2u BSNL modem. ( 2.5 years old)

After referring to portforward.com ,i set up port forwarding for utorrent.

When i set up port forwarding , the network status icon in utorrent turns green. But however , when i restart my modem , it seems to lose its settings and the network status icon turns yellow again.
The added forwarding disappears from the modem's virtual servers page.
If i set it up again , then it the utorrent status again becomes green.

Can anyone help me out?
Is it because of a firmware mistake? I could not find any firmware update for download.
My current firmware version is R100B02.7AS.B

could it be using a cell battery to save settings and that battery could have run out?
dont know whether modem use it to save the settings..

but since it save your other settings then it may be ruled out
reset the modem and tried it to see what happen
