[help] adding new HDD

hello,
i am planning to add a new hdd (750gb). i have a sata 2 seagate 750gb hdd (32mb buffer). i want to ask that is it necessary to use them in raid mothed or something like, beacuse i am not familiar with it ??

also, do i have to add same make and capacity of hdd or i can get other ??

Just connect your new HDD and it will work fine. Btw, you can use any make n capacity drive.

for RAID, you need to have HDD's with same capacity.

Go for Raid 0 for best performance or Raid 1 for data security.

also check u r PSU. first confirm is the PSU capable of Running so many HDD's.

with that PSU, you need to get extra power converter for sata board.

if you remove 2 power converters for HDD and dvd driver, you can add extra 3 HDD's.

i have a spare 4-pin connector in the psu. motherboard has some converters which convert 4pin connector to sata connector.

my 6800gt is more than a electric store. it has 100c + temperature. hoping 4850 will run cooler. my budget is 12k(+1 max). so i want to buy a 1gb card.
