Default laptop overheating, need a cooler

Hi all,

I am using a Hp V3155 au laptop.
AMD Turion 64 MK-36 (2.0 GHz), NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150

I am not using it for gaming but for normal MS office, net browsing etc.

but its overheating.
The GPU temp under idle- 67 C to 75 C and under load- 80 C.

The temp. of hard disk and CPU varies between 45-55 C.

I am using speedfan with automatic fan control.

I keep my laptop plugged in and rarely use it on battery.

now do I need a cooling solution or is the temp. normal??

should I buy a laptop cooler pad?

if Yes, please suggest me a good, durable, value for money laptop cooler pad, that I can buy from Nehru Place , Delhi.

thanks a lot

Try to keep your laptop on a flat surface like table such that the fan at the bottom doesn't get blocked.

no the temp. were high from the time I bought it. I read on net many of this model of HP are going dead after 1.5 years of use.
I have used this laptop for very less time since I bought it. but now plan to use more.
so I need to increase its life span.
speed fan does not show a gpu fan.
there seems to be only one fan and the left, corner at back. and its sends out quite hot air. good heater though.

I keep my laptop on a flat table, and also sometimes elevate it on the back side by placing a small object on its back. so that there is gap between the laptop and table-- free space. and there is better ventilation. still the gpu temp is around 78 C.

There is one from Cooler Master also for 1400
Look wise Balkin is great having singal center fan while cooler master has three fans and also usb ports. both draw power from usb port of lappy
Balkin > 1500 and a bit higher obviously less value for mony
