Default Unused PCI devices


is it OK to have PCI devices connected to the PC but rarely used?
i mean i have a LAN and Modem PCI cards connected to my system but i rarely use them,so do these devices consume power when not used?

Offcourse they will consume a little power & system resource.

It would be better if you disable them, if you use them rarely.

BTW I suggest you physically remove the PCI/USB devices you are not using from PC instead of disabling them from Device Manager.

yup, coz jus disabling them will still make them consume sum power, althought it will be a minute one but still..

also, it will make ur CPU less clutter (coz of unused devices).

No...dont remove..just disable from BIOS....& ur done...
