Should I wait for Core i7?

Ok guys, SO I've saved enough cash for e8400 and wanted to upgrade.. then I heard that Intel will be launching some new quad cores code named i7.

Any idea when they'll arrive? Should I wait for them (saving cash in the meantime) or just upgrade now?

wait for the launch... they will be here by november.... I say this not for upgrading to i7 but the prices of the current platform will reduce significantly

also at present h/w prices are on the higher side due to a weak rupee

Yes, do wait...basic marketing...(I hope by INTEL)...they will launch a super expensive new core set-up....and lower prices for existent chips. Even I am waiting....with the cash idling away in the bank...he he.! (Itching to upgrade--my siggy is embarrassing now)
