AFAIK you can insure your house as a whole against theft, fire etc

i m not aware of any insurance companies of desktop computers in india but it would be a bad idea to have even run a company like that ..cos desktop computers are not stable product ..and the technology usually has life of 1.5 years

well no need of exactly for insuring desktops I think, you will be just burning your system and asking for it to be paid.

I think all parts providing company give enough replacement warranty which is real good.

Warranty is a different kind of insurance and is for hardware and electronics, meaning making them, and you no paying the price wrongly. Besides I have question, what does it means if you go for full parts warranty with any company like Dell or HP for their branded systems

You can get insurance for computers from any Govt. Insurance cos.

theft insurance for laptop is more likely to be there and easier to find
