Question Help choosing an WD External HDD....


I am planning to buy an 160 GB external hdd...I have saw many models..but does not know about the HDD's...

ThinkDigit Members Recommand : WD My Passport 160GB Essential

Doubt is about other...I have also seen WD My Book® Home/Essential, FreeAgent™ Desktop External Hard Drive 160GB..can anybody tell me how is My Book, FreeAgent...Also how's my book...slim or broad..portable to carry or not..is it cheaper than Passport 160GB?...Also if anybody has it they can give me the pics...

WD My Book is good vfm.. needs an ac adapter and mini usb connector. Bigger in size as compared to passport.Whereas , WD Passport is really easy to carry and stylish. WD My book 500GB is around ~ 4.7k

For carrying it frequently its a good choice, but if u go for MB/Price .........desktop based HDDs are better. If ur purpose is only taking backup go for Desktop based high capacity HDDs like 500GB or &50 gb; u may get them within 4.5K-8k range.

MyBook series is as same as a dictionary. I found it easier to carry comparing to Seagate FreeAgent drives.

I fixed going for WD 160GB My Passport..I saw its website and found a confusion..

WD 160GB My Passport Elite

What the difference between both?
